International watercolor painter, Cathy Quiel, captures her watercolor
images though a vivid application of watercolor pigment and captures
light and shadow through a bold and enlivened transparent watercolor
style which is uniquely hers.
She creates
her vibrant watercolor paintings utilizing a staining watercolor
palette and a variety of watercolor techniques. These watercolor
techniques have been incorporated to create a wide range of subject
matter and series: The Edible Series, Watercolor Adobe, Submerged
Watercolor, Fur and Metal, Sun Drenched Watercolor.
Cathy is
known to her students as an enthusiastic watercolor instructor
with a true love of sharing her watercolor knowledge. Teaching
watercolor has taken Cathy Quiel to the crystal waters of the
