Cathy Quiel, noted
watercolorist, captures her images through a vivid application of
pigment. Cathy enjoys the sharp play that light has on objects and
the resulting radiating warmth and shadows. She captures this light
through a bold and enlivened transparent style which is uniquely hers.
Her surrounding world is the basis for her subject matter and her
loose painterly style captures the essence and mood of her subjects.
She was a featured seminar lecutar at Watercolor West 2003 at Riverside Art museum and will be conducting a workshop for the San Dieo Watercolor Society in 2004.
